What affects the price

  • Volume. How much space it takes up in the truck is the biggest factor. A single couch costs less than a full garage.

  • Weight. Disposal sites charge by the ton. Concrete, shingles, dirt and tile cost more to dump than furniture or boxes.

  • Stairs and access. Third-floor walk-ups, tight basements and long carries take more time and more hands.

  • Item type. Mattresses, tires, TVs, refrigerators and hot tubs have special disposal fees or need extra breakdown.

Veterans, seniors and first responders get 15% off. Just mention it when you book.

FAQ

Questions people ask us

Straight answers about pricing, what we take, scheduling and where we go.

Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Shelton, CT?

It depends on how much you have and what it is. Volume is the biggest factor, then weight, then access. A single item pickup is the low end; a full garage or estate cleanout is the high end. Text photos to (475) 201-7539 and you'll get a real number, not a range off a chart.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Photo quotes by text are free and on-site looks are free. You only pay when we do the work.

What is included in the price?

Everything: labor, loading, the truck, disposal and dump fees, and sweeping up when we're done. The number we give you is the number you pay.

Is there a minimum charge?

[CONFIRM] Michael to confirm whether there is a minimum and what it covers.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes. Veterans, seniors and first responders get 15% off. Mention it when you book.

How do you want to be paid?

[CONFIRM] Cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, card? Michael to confirm what he accepts.

Is a dump run cheaper than renting a dumpster?

For most household jobs, yes. A dumpster rental charges for the box, the delivery, the pickup and the tonnage, and you still do all the lifting. We bring the labor, load it in one visit, and you don't have a steel box in the driveway for a week. For a long renovation with debris coming out over weeks, a dumpster can make sense. Send us photos and we'll tell you honestly.

What we take

What items do you take?

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, carpet, boxes, construction debris, yard waste, brush, hot tubs, sheds, fencing, scrap metal, exercise equipment, pianos and just about anything else that fits on the truck.

Do you take mattresses and box springs?

Yes. Connecticut has a mattress recycling program and transfer stations handle them separately, so there is a per-piece fee, but we take them.

Do you take refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners?

Yes. Appliances with refrigerant are handled through the proper disposal channel and carry a small extra fee.

Do you take TVs and electronics?

Yes. TVs, monitors, computers and printers are recycled as e-waste. [CONFIRM] any per-item fee.

Do you take paint, chemicals or hazardous waste?

No. Paint, solvents, oil, pesticides, chemicals, propane tanks, fuel, asbestos and medical waste have to go through your town's household hazardous waste program. We can point you to the right drop-off.

Do you take tires?

[CONFIRM] Michael to confirm.

Can you remove a hot tub?

Yes, this is one of our most common jobs. We cut it up on site, carry it out in pieces and haul it away, deck or ground level.

Do you do demolition?

Yes, small and mid-size demolition. Sheds, decks, porches, fences, above-ground pools, swing sets and interior tear-outs like cabinets, tile, drywall and non-load-bearing walls. We work by hand and with power tools, no heavy equipment, so whole buildings and structural work are out. We demo it and haul the debris in the same visit.

Scheduling

How fast can you come?

Often the same day or next day. Call or text and we'll tell you the first opening.

Do I need to be home?

Not for outdoor pickups. If the items are in a driveway, yard or open garage and we've agreed on a price, we can do the job while you're at work and send you a photo when it's done. For indoor cleanouts we ask that someone is there.

Do you work evenings and weekends?

Yes, by appointment. [CONFIRM] exact hours. Text a photo any time and we'll get back to you.

Do I have to carry things to the curb?

No. We take it from wherever it sits: the attic, the basement, the back of the yard. That's the whole point.

How does an estate cleanout work?

We walk the home with you or the executor, note anything that stays, then clear everything else room by room. Usable furniture and goods go to donation, documents and photos get set aside for the family, and the rest is hauled. Most homes are done in one or two days.

Service area

What towns do you serve?

All of Connecticut. Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, Seymour, Trumbull, Monroe, Stratford, Fairfield, Milford and Orange are home turf with the fastest response, and we go statewide for cleanouts and demolition. See the full list on the service area page.

Do you serve Fairfield, Westport and the shoreline?

Yes. Lower Fairfield County is a short drive from Shelton and we're there most weeks.

About us

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Mr. Nobody Dump Runs and Services LLC is fully licensed and insured. [CONFIRM] Michael to provide license numbers if he wants them shown.

Where does the junk go?

Usable items go to local donation centers. Metal goes to recycling. Everything else goes to a licensed transfer station. Nothing gets dumped on the side of the road.

Why 'Mr. Nobody'?

Because we take the jobs nobody else will. When you need somebody, Mr. Nobody will be there.
